WOMEN'S DAY PROGRAM



The Women’s Day  celebration was organized by the NSS unit of Sabarigiri college with great enthusiasm and a spirit of appreciation under the theme “Give to Gain.” The programme commenced with the NSS prayer led by Adithya and Abhirami, creating a serene and positive atmosphere for the event. Sinimol PJ, program emcee, made a great balance on the programme with words. 


The welcome address was delivered by Rosy, who warmly greeted the dignitaries and the audience, emphasizing the importance of celebrating women’s contributions to society. This was followed by the Presidential Address by the Principal, who highlighted the significance of Women’s Day and the need to empower women in all spheres of life.


The formal inauguration marked the official beginning of the celebration. The Inaugural Address was delivered by Dr. Sir VK Jayakumar, who shared insightful thoughts on the theme “Give to Gain,” encouraging everyone to contribute positively to society in order to achieve collective growth.


The programme also included a segment acknowledging the valuable contributions of the distinguished guests, Saritha chechi, Sujatha chechi and Sandhya chechi, recognising their efforts. As a token of respect and gratitude, the guests were honoured during the ceremony.


Felicitations were delivered by Jaseena Miss  who expressed their appreciation and shared inspiring words about women’s strength and resilience.


The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ankitha, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the programme a grand success.


Overall, the celebration was meaningful and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present and reinforcing the importance of giving in order to gain in life.

Programme ended with National Anthem and a group photo.

 

NO SMOKING DAY PROGRAM


The NSS unit conducted a programme in observance of No Smoking Day to create awareness about the harmful effects of smoking and to promote a healthy lifestyle among students. The programme began with the NSS Prayer, which set a positive and respectful tone for the event. This was followed by a welcome speech by Gouri, who warmly welcomed the teachers and students and highlighted the purpose of the programme.

After the welcome address, Aparna spoke about the importance of No Smoking Day. Following this, Sukeema delivered an awareness speech on No Smoking Day, explaining the dangers of tobacco use and encouraging everyone to stay away from smoking and other harmful habits.

Next, Kavya presented the theme of the day .The programme then continued with a pledge led by Megha, where students promised to stay away from smoking and spread awareness about its harmful effects. To make the programme more interactive, Sradha conducted a quiz, which helped students test and improve their knowledge about smoking and health.

Finally, the programme concluded with a rally conducted by the students carried placards and raised slogans to spread awareness about the dangers of smoking among the public

WORLD NGO DAY PROGRAM

 

The World NGO Day assembly was conducted in our college in a simple and meaningful manner. The program began with morning assembly.
Ancy spoke about the importance of NGOs and their role in helping society. Fathima presented the theme of World NGO Day 2026. Alfiya led the pledge, and everyone repeated it with commitment.Gouri explained the history of World NGO Day. Riya delivered a speech about the impact of global and local NGOs. Devika and Aswathi introduced some important NGOs and their contributions.The assembly concluded with an interactive quiz conducted by Sreelakshmi and Neena, which made the session interesting and engaging for all.
The program ended successfully with active participation from the students.
